Our Founder
Jill Schmieg is Founder & Chief Strategist at Sol de Naples Marketing, a B2B marketing services firm specializing in strategy, communications, demand generation, marketing automation and ROI. Today, she actively works with B2B firms of all sizes, helping them build unconventional, savvy and focused ways to reach their markets.
Prior to her current role at Sol, Jill held the position of Senior Director of Brand Strategy & Communications at Ryder, a Fortune 500 leader in transportation and logistics (Miami, FL). Early in her career Jill also worked as a marketing assistant to a Top Sales Agent at the Charles Reinhart Co. (Ann Arbor, MI), as she paid her way through college, graduating in 2001 from Eastern Michigan University with highest academic honors.
In 2015, Jill Schmieg founded Sol de Naples Marketing.
When Jill started Sol, she did so with an eye towards an entirely new challenge with a distinct priority to give back to the industry and the up-and-coming professionals in it. To this end, Jill serves on the Board of Directors at the Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA), and current Chairperson of the Membership Committee. She was the inaugural recipient of TMSA’s Volunteer of the Year award in 2011 and received its Affiliate Member of the Year award in 2019. She and her clients are the recipients of numerous Trailblazer Awards (formerly Compass), whereby TMSA recognizes leadership and the highest levels of in sales and marketing excellence.
In addition to helping her clients grow their businesses, Jill commits 20% of her professional time and talents pro-bono to advancing the mission of non-profits in the greater Naples area and across the country. Her current and past roles include:
Founder & Creator www.teensuicideandguns.com. The mission of the blog and website is that no parent, or loved one, should ever suffer the loss and devastation of child’s suicide as a result of gun access in the child’s very own home. It was established in January of 2025, and is dedicated to the memories of Sean Kelly and Quinn Kelly, brothers who died 11 months apart as a result of self-inflicted gun shot wounds.
Marketing Lead and LLC Co-Creator for Naples Festival of Trees & Christmas Market, a fundraising event and organization in Naples, Florida, supporting Christian missions and outreach in the local SW Florida community.
Secretary, Board of Directors (Former) at Educational Pathways Academy, a private school that specializes in helping children with learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD and dyspraxia.

Digital Marketing and Communications Lead for the PTO at North Naples Middle School (Naples, FL).

Jill holds an B.B.A in International Business and a B.A. in Spanish from Eastern Michigan University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2001. She returns regularly to the College of Business at EMU as a guest lecturer.
